Currently all barber licensing in Nevada falls under the Nevada Barbers’ Health and Sanitation Board in Las Vegas.
Nevada Barber License Requirements
- Barbers – 1500 Hours
- Barber Instructors – Barber License + 5 Years Work Experience + 600 Hours
To get licensed in Nevada you must have your high school diploma or GED.
Nevada Barber License Renewal
Nevada barber licenses must be renewed before May 1 of each year.
Nevada Barber License Reciprocity or Transfer
Nevada does not offer licensure by reciprocity. In order to transfer your license to Nevada, you must provide records of your education hours and current, active license from your home state, then apply for a new barber license and take the written and practical exams to become licensed in Nevada.
