Cosmetology

The Cosmetology Program from Branford School of Beauty, provides the hands-on training, practical salon experience and industry support it takes to pursue a rewarding beauty career, without spending years in school.

Branford Academy of Hair & Cosmetology brings world class education and training to the Connecticut Shoreline, offering a comprehensive, progressive education in the basics of Hairdressing and Cosmetology, in a salon atmosphere. The owner, faculty and staff strive to maintain the level of excellence which makes our cosmetology program among the best available. The Academy furnishes students with the necessary training to become cosmetologists, manicurists, pedicurists, platform artists, make-up artists, salon owners, managers, colorists, manufacturer representatives and cosmetology instructors.

Branford Academy's time-tested education program continually ensures its students receive that most contemporary methods and tools, while instilling in every student the commitment to develop the proper skills to succeed.

Esthtics

To complete our basic course of esthetics, you must attend a minimum of 600 hours which is extended over a 22 week period of time. The esthetics course trains students in basic theory and practical aspects of skin care. Our goal is to prepare students for entry level employment opportunities. The course is designed to assist the students in developing proper habits of sanitation, health and safety in the process of esthetics. A positive attitude and ethical business practices are also emphasized throughout the course. A new class starts approximately every 4 months.

Make-up Artist

This course gives you a certificate in Make Up Artistry. You will learn all aspects of make up including but not limited to basic every day and evening, bridal and theatrical. You will receive a kit with all your basic essential make up needs. This course has a part-time schedule that consists of a minimum of 28 hours completed within 7 weeks.
