Students have the opportunity to participate in photoshoots, fashion shows, and fantasy hair competitions.

You will build your customer service and client retention skills as you work with real clients from the community and receive special training in networking and resume development through the Clary experience.

Barbering:

Barbering is all about precision cutting and style. It’s a way of life, barbers don’t just give haircuts, they give confidence.

In our barber program, learn the art of the straight razor shave, beard design and men’s and women’s haircutting. Our students learn to master it all — cuts, chemical treatments and shaves — both in the classroom and in our on-campus barbershop that sees real clients from the community. Cosmetology:

We make sure you graduate the cosmetology program with a well-rounded education in all areas of the beauty industry including haircuts, color, style, braiding, makeup applications, manicures and pedicures, and skin care treatments.

After learning the essentials in the classroom, students begin taking clients on the salon floor, offering all of these service and gaining real-world, practical experience under the guidance of seasoned industry professionals.

Esthetician:

Our curriculum covers theory, anatomy, biology, ingredient technology and product knowledge, so you won’t just now how to do something, but also why it works, better preparing you to help your clients when you’re in the field.

Hands-on training is provided in our on-campus Esthetics Spa where, after mastering theory in the classroom, you will be able to perform services like facials, eyelash extensions, eyebrow tinting, airbrushing, waxing, microdermabrasion, scrubs, wraps and chemical treatments on clients.

Fashion Design:

Fashion Design is an artistic and innovative industry where you can channel your creative energy into a career.

Fashion is about more than clothes, it’s about originality and self-expression and takes true artistry. The Fashion Design program at Clary will take you from concept to completion, teaching you the process of every step on the path to production including sketching, sewing, pattern design and construction.

Designing your own clothing line is built into the curriculum right along with industry essentials like presentation skills and brand development.

Makeup Artistry:

The Makeup Artistry program will guide you through all aspects of the industry, from beauty and event makeup to prosthetics and special effects.

We place an emphasis on professional development and portfolio building. With events like Scary Sage, Clary Runway and the Fantasy Hair Competition, you will have many opportunities to perfect that portfolio worthy work and put your skills to good use while still in school.

Massage Therapy:

Our Massage Therapy program is aimed at providing future therapists training to provide clients relief from pain and stress.

Curriculum covers master proficiency in traditional Swedish massage and other modalities including, but not limited to deep tissue massage, sports massage, pregnancy massage, reflexology, aromatherapy, hot stone massage, lymphatic massage and spa body treatments.

Nail Technology:

The Nail Technology program covers gels, silk wraps, acrylics, sculpture, nail art and charms, air brushing and natural nail care. While in school, you will be able to practice manicuring and pedicuring on our salon floor on clients from the community.

Master Instructor:

The Master Instructor program teaches the finer points of a career in education for the beauty industry. You will be trained to teach cosmetology, barbering*, esthetics and nail technology*, as well as how to supervise all areas essential to a cosmetology school, like dispense, retail, clinic floor and appointment booking.

In the program, you will develop lesson plans, learn presentation techniques and have the opportunity to observe and assist our faculty in a variety of classrooms and get to teach and interact with students from all disciplines.
