PROGRAMS
COSMETOLOGY PROGRAM
In this comprehensive 1,500-hour or 1,200-hour programs, you will explore the latest styles and techniques in hair cutting and styling, skin care, nail care and makeup. From a foundation of theoretical knowledge, you will practice and perfect your techniques and learn professional business-building skills. Through demonstrations, lectures and hands-on experience, you will master the professional and technical skills necessary for success.
Additionally, every student gets an iPad® with their start-up student kit.
We offer two course schedules, full time and part time.

At the conclusion of the course, you will be prepared to sit for the Rhode Island state licensing exam.
BARBERING PROGRAM
Develop your natural talent, express your creativity and establish a successful career in the salon and Barber Shop industry. Study in our state-of-the-art classrooms, clinic area and Aveda retail store. We offer a learning environment that embodies a balanced view of beauty, body care and business skills.

MKG Academy is the first school to have all their students with a membership to PBA for one year.
