If you miss the deadline you must contact the Board for reinstatement information. Each candidate for renewal must have four hours of continuing education annually to renew a license.

West Virginia Barber License Reciprocity or Transfer
West Virginia requires transfer and reciprocity applicants to pass the West Virginia State Examination. Those requesting transfer from National-Interstate Council (NIC) states that require passing the NIC written and practical may sit for the state exam as soon as the Board reviews their documentation. Non-NIC state transfers must have their credentials reviewed on a case-by-case basis. The cost to transfer a license is $100. Of note: West Virginia does not accept reciprocity from California.
