- Apprentice Barber – 1000 Hours
- Master Barber – 1500 Hours
Massachusetts Barber License Renewal
Massachusetts apprentice barber and master barber licenses expire on December 31 of odd-numbered years. Apprentice barber licenses cost $40 to renew, and master barber licenses cost $78 to renew. Barber instructor licenses expire on December 31 every one year, and the cost to renew is $84. Barber schools in Massachusetts must renew their licenses annually on December 31 and the fee to renew is $225. Barbershops in Massachusetts renew on June 30 of even-numbered years, and the cost to renew is $78.
